On july 24, 1993...one of the most popular comdeians in the 80s , rene requiestas, passed away due to tuberculosis and other organ malfunctions. anyway..i checked his wikipedia article (yes, he has a wikipedia article) and noticed that on july 24, 2008...its gonna be exactly 15 years since his passing..now, i don't know if its just me but does this guy deserve at least a tribute show from the media on his death anniversary or what? i mean, honestly..who among you didn't find this guy funny when you were a kid? of course, there are some exceptions (the people who grew up in another country).but for those who grew up here,  malamang, alam niyo pa ano ang echo sa sigaw niyang :" CHE-TAE! GANDA LALAKE!!"  which is: "ULUL! SINUNGALING! PANGET! PANGET! PANGET!" at ang kanyang killer smile niyang bungal? diba? sinong di makakalimot sa roles niya bilang joker sa "batman en robin" which also stared joey and keempee de leon as the dynamic duo o di kaya yung role niya bilang prinsepe sa film-adapataion ng "Ibong Adarna."

hindi to joke...seryoso ako dito...=) kailangan gumawa ang media ng tribute show para kay rene requiestas o kahit magpalabas sila ng isang pelikula niya para lang mapakita natin na may respeto pa tayo sa kanya at hindi lang tayo bumibili ng mga t-shirt na may mukha niya dahil cool lang tignan! which reminds me..where do you think does the profit of those shirts go? may share kaya ang pamilya niya dun? hmmm...fucking capitalist pigs! anyway, kung naastigan din kayo kay rene requiestas at natuwa talaga kayo sa kanya nung lumalaki ka..edi, spread the word! WE WANT A TRIBUTE TO RENE REQUIESTAS ON HIS 15th DEATH ANNIVERSARY! may 3 buwan pa bago dumating yung araw ng kamatayan ni rene kaya may oras pa tayo para ipaikot ang message na ito. hindi lang trend si rene requiestas! WE WANT A TRIBUTE! WE WANT A TRIBUTE!

so, as my means of paying homage to the former cigarette vendor turned famous comedian, i'll try to post as many videos of him in my site today to remind you guys of the things that he gave us!
